In this episode:

Today I want to talk about such a sensitive topic as chemical weapons, toxic substances and the dastardly attempts of the Ukrainian security forces to use it.
Chemical weapons have long been one of the most terrible horror stories for humanity. Therefore, it often serves as a pretext for the introduction of various sanctions and even the use of military force against countries that possess these weapons.

Remember how US Secretary of state Colin Powell demonstrated a test tube allegedly containing samples of a straightening substance at the UN podium. Mentioning of the development of biological and chemical weapons became the basis for the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Another example. Numerous fakes about the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Syrian leadership, voiced by the White Helmets organization controlled by British special services. Staged heartbreaking images thrown into the media space served as the basis for repeated rocket attacks on this Arab country by the United States.
By the way, I note that in accordance with international agreements between Russia and the United States, Moscow got rid of its chemical weapons arsenals in 2017. But the United States, in violation of the agreements, has not yet destroyed its chemical weapons stockpiles.

To date, any use of chemical weapons is clearly a crime. And in all countries. Not only usage but even the planning of the use of chemical weapons may be attributed to crimes against humanity. Everywhere.
Everywhere except Ukraine.
Back in 2014, during my work in the security Service of Ukraine, I noticed that the new authorities of the country tried in every possible way to accuse the Donbass militia of using chemical weapons against Ukrainian security forces.

But such facts have not been revealed, as it is evidenced by this specified document, for example.
This topic was especially discussed during the battles at the Donetsk airport. Here, the Ukrainian security forces pursued two goals. First, find arguments to expose the DPR militia as monsters that use chemical weapons, and thus justify the failure of the airport's defense by "cyborgs". They say that the militia could not break the "brave Ukrainian army soldiers", so they poisoned them with a chemical infection.
But for all the time of the war, no evidence of the use of toxic substances by the militia could be found.
And in General, thank God, there were no cases of the use of chemical weapons during the conflict in the Donbas. But there were plans to use it.

And in confirmation, I want to cite one document that I obtained while working in the security Council of Ukraine.

But first – a small digression explaining the degree of secrecy of documents in the armed forces of Ukraine.
There are three categories of secrecy – "secret", "top secret" and "Top Secret of Particular Importance.".
Accordingly, an individual can have one of three forms of admission: 3rd, 2nd or 1st. I had the 2nd form of admission. Consequently, I had the opportunity to get acquainted with documents and materials marked "secret" and "top secret".

However, there are still a number of ways to restrict access to the document by unauthorized persons. For example, specify "personally" on the document. In this case, only the recipient can get acquainted with the document and only after that the document will get to the Secretariat. And if the sender does not want to leave traces of their document with the addressee, you can specify that the document is "subject to return".
All this is done in order to limit the list of people who can read the document as much as possible.
But most often, in the course of official correspondence, they are limited to simply assigning the appropriate security level.

Here is an example.

This is an encryption from the main intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine in the SBU. Encryption is classified as "secret". The recipient of the encryption is the first Deputy Chairman of the SBU, who is also the head of the anti-Terrorist center, who, according to the order, conducted so-called anti-terrorist operations.

We are talking about very serious things - military intelligence officers report that the Ministry of state security of the DPR is working out orientation on an employee of the security Service of Ukraine who arrived in the DPR to conduct subversive activities.

One more time. We are talking about a threat to the current employee of the SBU, who may be performing an intelligence mission in the Donbass.

The telegram was signed by the Deputy head of the main intelligence Department of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine. And this is absolutely normal. I mean that all the details of the document are absolutely adequate to the content of the information.

And now, actually, the document that I wanted to present to your attention.
As you can see, the letter secrecy level is “Top secret”. Head of the Main Intelligence Department Valery Kondratyuk writes to the head of the security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak. The letter is marked " personally ". In addition, the military intelligence Secretariat stamped the document " subject to return "and " copying is prohibited ".

All the details indicate the extreme importance of the document. During my almost 20-year service in the SBU, I have seen such details on documents only a few times. And each time these documents were about very serious issues. For example, specific information about the intention of an international drug syndicate to smuggle a large shipment of drugs through a Ukrainian port.

What do we see in the text?

It is about a hangar where barrels of chlorine are stored, as well as some hiding places with small arms and ammunition.
The level of importance of the document and the persons who prepared it does not fit with the content of the document. With such details, it should have been about, well, at least, the plans of the Russian special services to recruit a high-ranking secret agent in the SBU, or about specific plans of the Russian leadership to invade Ukraine.

But no, we are talking about incomprehensible barrels of chemicals and some "left" caches of weapons. And about this, with the use of unprecedented secrecy measures, the head of military intelligence writes to the head of the SBU!

So, what’s the matter?

As I learned during personal conversations with senior military intelligence officials, in 2014, the leadership of this structure was puzzled to arrange a provocation, and then accuse the militia of using toxic substances. By that time, Ukrainian military intelligence officers had learned that unutilized toxic substances had been stored on the territory of one of the units of Ministry of Emergency Measures in the Lugansk region since pre-Maidan times. They decided to use them for such a provocation.

For this purpose, the attack was prepared by helicopters of the 16th brigade of the army aviation of the armed forces of Ukraine at the place of storage of barrels of chlorine. The hangar was located in a densely populated area, in the immediate vicinity of Lisichansk, which has a population of about 200 thousand people. After the attack, a cloud of chlorine would inevitably cover the surrounding area. Both local residents and Ukrainian military personnel, who were conducting offensive actions against the militia of the Lugansk People's Republic, would have suffered.

Ukrainian propagandists planned to use this fact to accuse the republics of Donbass of using chemical weapons.
But the unexpected happened. Unguided rockets fired by a Ukrainian helicopter pilot did not work properly. As a result, only the hangar was partially destroyed, but, fortunately, the barrels with chlorine were not damaged. By the way, this is another example of the low level of technical condition of the Ukrainian Air forces, as mentioned in my previous comment.

A few days later, this territory came under the control of the armed forces of Ukraine, and the operation was curtailed. But in 2015, they remembered about it. They began to clean up their tracks. As a result, this very interesting document appeared.

For us, it is important precisely as proof of the treachery of the Ukrainian security forces, who did not disdain planning a very bad-smelling provocation.
