Former head of the State tax service Sergey Verlanov was informed of suspicion of abuse. According to investigators, the suspect illegally canceled a tax notice on the accrual of rent for the use of mineral resources in relation to the ArcelorMittal metallurgical plant. The plant is part of the ArcelorMittal international Corporation, the largest foreign investor in the country. The damage to the state is estimated at 2 billion 246 million hryvnias.
