So, dear friends, I continue my cycle of remarks about the war crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and specifically Ukrainian combat aviation.

But today I will tell you about one remarkable, in my opinion, episode that does not really concern the direct fighting.

So, I present to your attention a certificate on the operational situation compiled by the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SBU. The certificate was compiled as of 08.00 on 17.07.2014. The document is at my disposal, of course, electronic, but there is its number - 5/26177dsk. For those who do not know, the number at the beginning of the registration number is the index of the SB of Ukraine division. 5 is the DZ, 3 is the Main Directorate "K", and 33 is, for example, the Headquarters of the ATC under the Security Council of Ukraine. Well, the dsk is a type of access restriction, in this case - for service koristuvannya, for official use in Russian.

So, item 7 – events related to the stay of foreigners in the ATO area, as well as representatives of international organizations, journalists, public figures and activists.

And what do we see in this paragraph?

And we see that on 17.07.2014, a visit of a group of representatives of the US Embassy is planned to the Dnepropetrovsk airfield, namely -Defense Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, Colonel Joseph Hinox; Assistant Defense Attache - Air Force Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Vilis; Assistant Air Force at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, Major Patrick Self.

And the purpose of the visit is indicated vaguely – holding meetings with representatives of the operational command "North", the flight personnel of the units of the Air Forces and army aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are involved in the ATO in the east of Ukraine.

Let me remind you that at that moment a part of the 299 tactical aviation brigade from Nikolaev (Kulbakino Airbase) was relocated to the Dnepropetrovsk airfield, armed with SU-25 attack aircraft.

In addition, MiG-29 fighters of the 114th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been stationed at the Dnepropetrovsk airfield since the end of May 2014. I'll talk about her later.

Confirmation of this is the order of the head of the ATO, General Krutov 33/222 t dated June 04, 2014 on the involvement of the forces and means of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the ATO from May 24, 2014, including a pair of MiG-29 fighters.

On July 17, 2014, at 16.20, a Bong-737 of flight MH-17 was shot down in the sky over Donbass. Let me remind you that at the time of the crash, the flight of the airliner was controlled by the air traffic center of Dnepropetrovsk airport, to which a group of American officers, including specialists of the US Air Force, arrived just that day.

In this regard, the visit of the air force attache of the US Embassy to the Dnepropetrovsk airfield on the day of the disaster looks very interesting.

It is very similar to the last briefing before conducting a covert operation, but rather monitoring its implementation and direct guidance.
